Interested in photography?

What makes a great photographer or what makes a photographer's photos so great. Is it the quality of the photograph, the lighting, the composition or is it the photographer's equipment? At SEPC we can help you answer these questions. We have several experienced photographers who are willing to help beginners advance their photograph skills and capture those one of a kind images that we all strive for.

About Us

The Sound Exposure Photo Club was founded in 1997 and consisted of 8 or 9 members. As of July 2007, we are over 90 members strong.
SEPC is not afilliated with any other widely known photo clubs such as the PSA, PPA, etc. We are independent and just now beginning to loosely associate with NWPhotographers.net (NWP). NWP is an established and growing online community of area photographers who participate in online discussion, photo critiques and group outings.
SEPC was founded on the basis that it is solely dedicated to helping it's members learn more about photography and to have fun doing it! Mainly, we try to make photography fun through sharing photos, knowledge and through the performance of winter workshops and summer scheduled field trips.
Our meetings generally consist of viewing and critiquing slides and prints, which are provided by club members. Critiques are by knowledgeable and caring members of the club and are done tactfully and with concern for all aspects of photography. Our desired formats for critique are 2" x 2" slides, prints of 8" x 10" or larger and must be matted at a minimum, no frames or glass please.
We also have a medium format and 4" x 5" division, as well as a digital division. All are welcomed and equally embraced. We are not partial to any camera format(s).
Once a month, we schedule outings to area locations of interest to shoot photos and interact as club members. As the weather is less than permissible in December, January, February and March, we offer winter workshops.
